They look like they are going to look great just as soon as I get the old ones off of the boat. That is the problem. I can only get little chunks off of it and a lot of residue left on the boat. I have tried heating it up with a hair dyer and that did not help. Is this going to be a long painful process or is there a secret to getting sticker of this type off? Thanks to all that can help. Last couple of stupid questions. Will this hurt the finish on the boat ( I am sure that you would not tell me to put something on the boat that would hurt it but how long should I let it sit before scaping the old sticker off) and where would I get some enamel remover from? After the enamel remover is there any special process to put on the new domed stickers and make sure that they stay put. I know that it is a simple sticker but at 43 bcks a pair I dont want to screw them up or have them fall off going down the lake or road. Thanks again. ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Elwood,You need Enamel Reducer not remover, Atfer cleaning off the old I wiped the area down with 50/50 Alcahol and water and stick the new one and then wax the area real good.
3m Sticker remover will take them off. Just spray it down and let it soak for a few minutes and then start peeling off. It comes in a aerosal can and you can pick it up at Wal Mart. I have been using this stuff for years and it will remove the left over glue and clean up nicely.
I have the before and after pictures but i cant seem to get photobucket to run correctly so if you would like to see them give me an e-mail and i will send them. Someone may even be able to post them for me. I have gotten to the point of bounce checking my computer and that could be a little expensive. LOL ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
