I picked up my new 08 Pantera IV this weekend from Riverside Marine and I must give a big shout out to Reed and Steve . It was the most pleasant and easiest boat buying experience I have had in 20 some odd years. I had them do a couple of tweaks to the boat (graph, hambys, upgrade batteries) and everything still looked like it came straight from the factory. Reed spent time with me going over everything and answering all the questions I had at the time and introduced me to the tech crew. BCB should be proud to have them as a dealer. I also found answers to some of my questions from this site before I went to pick up the boat (another plus for BCB). Got it home and and in its garage and after going through the manuals and paper work I came up with a few I couldnt find answers to. I am sure someone will have answers to a couple of questions I have (probably a lot of someones). 1. The catalog and web site stated the the PIV has 4 interior courtesy lights, but I only found 3 (console, rear deck-passenger side, front deck-drivers side). I know I am getting old and my eyesite is going, but where is the 4th light located. 2. There is a rectangular seethrough hatch cover below the drivers seat. I thought I read on here what it is for but couldn,t find that again (memory is going as well). 3. Is the MG trolling motor mounted with bolts and fender washers underneath (I assume) or with the old rubber compression bolts (need to know how often to check the tightness). I have not had a chance to splash it by myself and drive around for a couple of hours (somewhat weather related) and will probaply have a few more questions later but it is a good feeling I can get them answered here!!! Once again a big thanks to Reed and Steve as well as BCB. Jim >`·._ .·´Ż>`·. _ .·´Ż·. >
Welcome to the family. Nice cat. That your boat house in the back? Wow! 1 – My 06 Pat IV has 3 courtesy lights like you stated. 2- Visual fuel gauge for the tank under the seat??3 – ?
Thank You for your decision on a Bass Cat Pantera IV model. That is a model many really enjoy with hte big boat feel and ride, and a little smaller frame with 200 HP mileage. 1. There may be one under the console. 2. Sight gauge for the fuel tank. The tank will eventually turn rust colored with todays ethanol blends, though it will last a few years. 3. Yes they are through bolted on all BC Installations with a 3/8″ aluminum plate under the deck. Just hop on here any time with any questions you have. This is the Owners Manual for your new ride!
On my 08 P4, there is a light under the drivers dash, on a plate with the cig plug. Congrats on the P4, looks good!
BCB – Thanks for the response. That is the reason I chose the PIV, big boat yet economical. I found the 4 light under the console. Basscatsmeow – Nope, not my boathouse (I wish). I needed pics of the boat from all sides for my ins. co., so I stopped by the school up the road on my way home from TN to take some pics. (Wanted a background that looked almost as nice as the boat and couldnt get all the angles they want in my drive or garage. PS. The 4 light (small) is under console with a toggle switch next to the cig. lighter. Jim>`·._ .·´Ż>`·. _ .·´Ż·. >
