This has been a fun journey so far:I bought a project boat, 98 PIII without a go-fast motor, in Indiana a few weeks ago. Just got back from North Carolina where I bought an 06 Optimax.I have read past posts and my head is spinning. Is there a clear answer to propping and engine height?Any and all help is welcome.Thanks.

24 Fury about 3.5 inches below pad is where I would start. From there move it up until you feel a little steering torque. Not too much torque though. Think most guys are around 3.25 to 3.5 with this setup.

Mothers Day: I guess a lot of BC owners are taking their wives and mothers out today ? :-)The 24 Fury and motor height sound like good advice based on the little I know.Anyone else want to chime in before I buy the prop?Thanks.

I run a 25 trophy plus and 24 tempest at 3.25 but would love to try a 24 fury if I ever had the chance

You can buy a new in the box 24 Fury from Jacosmarine for $469. Pretty good price.

I am running an 01 PIII with a 06 200 opti and find that a 25 fury or a 26 tempest are the best props I have found for me with the Fury getting better all around performance.

My P-111 likes the 25 Tempest @ 3-1/4 below.

Looks like a 24 Fury is a common and approved prop for this set-up.Ill be in the market as soon as I recover from the motor purchase.Thank you for sharing your experiences.Michael
