I got a question for fellow jag owner and basscat. I only have about 14 hours on my new boat with the 350 Verado. Im still trying to het a wide open run on smooth water. Yesterday I thought I found the right water, but in the process I was going about 72 when I gave more throttle and my front end seemed like it was coming up. My jack plate was on 2 and trim on 4. When I test drove a jag at the factory, Ivan suggested keeping the plate on 2. Am I doing anything wrong or should I try it again the the jack plate up a little higher and less trim. I know the trim up makes the motor lift the boat. Looking for advice. I know for a complete break in I need a wide open run.
As you advance the throotle the is going to be more lift. Bump the trim down and drive it through any chine that starts. I am not sure on the plate but keeping the bow down is usually accomplished with the trim. What prop and how many rpms did you see.
My jag/350 is usually at 6 on the plate and 4 on the trim for best wide open run.if your running a fury I would suggest trying a 27 or 28 bravo.ive ran several props on mine and the bravo is the best by far,you will be amazed by how much better of a ride it is with the bravo.fury always felt like I was towing a house.

Bad ass rig for sure! Low 80s boat easy!Last edited by PhilAddison on October 24th, 2016, 1:13 am, edited 1 time in total.
Jaguars take a few years to get everything connected to the water. We suggest figuring out the engine height and trim angle slowly and we expect most to click off better than your showing. The propeller can be changed up and we would try either a Bravo or the new Fury 4. They may notngainnthough they are worth a spin.
I am not sure where I ran the plate and trim on my Jag last year. But I knew it when it was right, youll feel it. Be patient you just need a little wheel time. The best advice I can give you with a Verado is stop trying so hard to drive it. The solid state steering will almost drive itself. When you have it right your Jag will run a straight line at 72mph with your hands in your pockets.
Congratulations on the new ride!Probably control the lift with your trim. Mine does not have a hyrolic JP, but it does lift up at higher speeds. The Bravo has been the fastest prop Ive had on at 82mph. Ive got a Fury on now because of better hole shot. Go slow with adjustmens and you will figure it out.Beast of a ride!
Run the engine 2.75 to 2.5 inches below pad–use a 26 to a 27 XS Bravo.
Speck I was running about 5900 rams with a 25 fury.
Why did Ivan put on this 25 fury when everybody including bcb says it needs changing. 800 to 1000 dollars I shouldnt have to spend it eels to me.
