I have a 2006 Pantera Classic with the Silhouette Package, and I have livewell pump in and livewell pump out switches. You can check out the list of standard and optional equipment in the link below. I didnt see the pump in and pump out specifically mentioned. http://www.basscat.com/classic.html
You can order a Classic with pump out and with most other options. However, if I remember correctly, the cost difference between a Classic and a P2 becomes minute when optioning up.
The Pantera Classic is the Vision group with the Sabre Vision and Margay. Thus it would be a Pantera Classic Vision Tour package is the most expanded option group. The Advantage group is the Cougar Adv., Pantera IV, Pantera II and the Sabre FTD. There are Special Packages (SP) which are offered as show or model year promotions from other models also. The Premium group has the Jaguar, Puma FTD, Cougar FTD, Eyra and Puma in the segment and they come with most everything and a higher level of equipment in some areas. Things like directional horn, Southco latches and other items.
Thus it would be a Pantera Classic Vision Tour package is the most expanded option group. details please?Ok, so what comes with this? pump in/out, security system not available on the classic?
Ive never priced them out, but if youre close in price the P-2 layout is superior. The only reason to buy a Classic over a P-2 that I can think of is price.
He does not want the p2 and is willing to pay the up grades on the classic. The p2 will not fit in the garage and he wants a cat and a 200 hp. BCB whats on this package? Pantera Classic Vision Tour package. He!! its his money, I could care less. He hates computers so I put this out there for him.
The PII has the exact same stoage requirements as does the Classic. BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
Thats not what BCB web page says. It says its 4 inches shorter.Must be an error
As far as I know theyre the exact same hull. If you get a Yammie I think its 4 inches or so longer than other motors.
I had a buddy ask me a very good question? Can you order a Pantera Classic with the advantage elite package? If not why? If this isnt a option can you order livewell pump out on it? Thanks
They start production within days.
Welcome. What exactly is the concern with the live well? As you know the current P Classic is new to the line up so not sure how many are out there but I’ve owned two BassCats and both have had excellent live well systems. BCB’s are known to have some of the best live wells in the business – at least that is my impression and experience.
Well I know this is a down graded livewell and I have seen several people choose the P2 instead and one of the reasons were the livewell. I think part of the reason is because it does not have the spray bar like the other models which doesnt bother me because I dont have it now. The thing that concerns me is that it sounds like there is only one pump working the whole system and the drain goes into the bilge.
If its the same as the margay system, then yes the drain dumps into the bilge area. There is the pumpout option which takes most of it out of the livewell anyways for emptying it. The livewell on my Margay is plenty big. The only problem Ive had is it seems my aeration will only work for about an hour in the morning when set to 3, 5, minute intervals and then quits working. I can here the pump trying to run but it wont circulate the water in the well. I end up having to run fresh water in to get the circulation and just let the excess run out the overflow. That works fine until a fish blocks the overflow… lol. Hoping to figure out my issue here soon.Jared
I bought a new classic i just turned 50 and wanted this to be my last boat. I came out of a 518/ yamaha last october.yes it is a single pump but i have had no problems. Live wells are deep and divider comes out if you fish alot of team events. U pull out the plug to drain its no big deal to me ..pull knob out recirculator and u have a pump out its simple but very effective…..even though this is my first basscat i am more than happy with it does and has everything a 20footer will do and with the merc 200 proxs it will “actually fly”….i loved my 518 but performance wise its not even close…
