Recently picked up my new P IV and couldnt be happier. Wanted to thank Steve Bosley and Chad and the guys at Halls Marine for making the process painless. Its not easy buying a boat from hundreds of miles away and I am not a tournament guy. Steve was very helpful with suggestions on everything from boat set up to color choices and patient with endless questions and Chads crew was great in turning around the boat quickly. For other P IV owners – I am looking to install Cooks tackle system for storing bags of plastics and was looking to see which of the compartments you use and how you attached the bars. It looks like bags would hit the rods if installed in the rod locker; any help would be appreciated
How about some pics?

I second that lets see pic of the new boat !
Are you drilling holes in them and mounting with small screws?BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
Brian – was looking to mount them like jbassertn did in his Puma but Im hesitant to drill holes in the lid to attach with the bolts they provide and dont see how glue to the padding will hold up. I would think using the screws they provide would come through the lids so was looking for mounting suggestions. Trying to post photos of boat but seem to be having trouble; will try again tonite. Thanks in advance
The above pics is not the cooks system.Go to http://www.cookstacklesystem.com and check out there pics.I mounted mind with screws in the middle storage boxes on my puma.Ron
I HAVE WHAT BLUEPLATE HAS SHOWN..I USE FOR SPINNERBAITS AND BUZZ BAITS..I BOUGHT 4AND SCREW MOUNTED UNDER ROD LOCKER……4 WILL FIT….ALSO I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE BAITTO FALL IN THE ROD LOCKER “VERY STABLE”..I HAVE NOT USED FOR WORM BAGS THOUGH…I DONT THINK I WOULD LIKE THE IDEA OF HAVING TO LIFT THE ROD LOCKER WHEN I NEEDED TO LOOKFOR WORMS,HAVING TO MOVE RODS AROUND TO GET TO THEM.I NEED TO HAVE A WORM SALE,ANDGET RID OF SOME OF THIS CRAP.
yes i use one screw it goes into to lid support and comes now way near going thru i also have some auto motive clip that mounts to the inside of the lock and does not get in way at all each brand boat seems to have diffrent compartment lids so we have to install a little diffrent and cut to langeth but it works good the one i put on my seat pole will hold 4 bags of what ever i want to fish or try and its nice to open the lids and see what your looking for stearing back at ya instead of digging thru a walmart bag or a boxs of plastic plus if ya hold 20 to 40 bags like this you can easily tell what your low on my bud has them in rod locker and never has one fall off and can get rods with out a problem when ya open lid there out of the way if anyone wants more pic just let me know and send me your email i will get back to ya asap
Fellas I bought a setup from Cooks at the classic. When I got back home. I started looking at how to mount them. Well like what has been stated with the form and the having the arm cylinder for rod lock on top of the raised part. I found that it would be tough to mount without cutting the hangers in half. Really I dont buy anything to cut in pieces to mount it, but there was a person on here who did. It really turned out nice. I have yet to mount my system but I will. I have a P2 (Pantera). At the classic Darryl did tell me about using 3m (glue) tape if you didnt want to drill holes. I think I will opt for using the 3m instead of drilling.
