I ran a 25 today on my Sabre FTD DC/ 175XS Combo, I went from a tad over 66 on top to 67.5 with a few adjustments on the JP. The mid range lift is friggen amazing! I went from a cruise speed of about 57 to 62 (about 5 MPG on the SC guage). I did not know the prop came with NO PVS plugs, figured I would cavitate coming out of the hole, I did not. The boat launched out of the hole without any plugs. I swear my Merc sounds like it gained 50 HP I did not have the infamous XS rattle in the mid range I had when I was running the 25 Tempist. It sounded like a beast from the time you nailed it until you went back to idle. I did lose 200 RPMs from the 24 Tempist I was running but Ill take that with the mid range lift and overall speed I picked up. The motor just sat back there and spun the 24 Tempist like it was not even there, it had a totally different sound. Unless these start throwing blades like the old A45 Tempist did when they came out Mercury has hit a home run with the Fury!
