New Prop ??

Getting close to Christmas list time and was thinking of trying a new Fury out, probably 26 pitch. I have been running a 27 trophy on my 06 Puma ( 250xs ) since it was new. Always performed well just crawwwwwwls out of the hole when loaded and livewells full. Any input from guys who have maybe run similar setups with different props to compare would be appreciated. Thanks

Been running a 26 Fury on my 2007 Puma and it is a great prop, great hole shot and mid range decent top speed, dont think youll be disappointed.

I just tried out a 26P Fury prop and love it. Its the large hub with all vent plugs removed and even with 4 people on board, it jumps right up and takes off effortlessly. The motor is a 250XS BTW.If you cant convince them, confuse them.

If your after more hole shot, then a Fury is an easy fix. Otherwise you can ventilate your hub if you want more hole shot and like your top end and handling. This entails swapping out the PVS plugs for a different combination, opening up two holes first and seeing your results.

Thanks. Ive used every plug variation imaginable to get the best hole shot when loaded with 2 people and livewells full. There isnt a pvs plug combination that will work to get it quicker without blowing out.I now am running 2 solid plugs and 2 medium hole plugs. Have to feather the throttle to keep it from blowing out. Only have this bad of a problem when the wells are full and Im also still carring alot of gas. In your expiermentation what do you think I will lose in top end speed with a 26 fury.

Have you used the ventilation ring on the propeller. That is another item to use for this.

tried the ring back when I first got the boat and honestly cant remember what effect it had. I abandoned it so must not have worked very well. What about top end speed on the fury with my Puma and 250xs. Do you think it will be the same as current trophy or will I lose several MPH ? Thanks

anyone have a top end speed comparision that was running a 27 trophy with 250hp and went to a 26 fury. Sure would like to have some idea before I decide to get another prop. Thanks
