Out of the 80 Sabres listed in the owners gallery that list HP. 62 have 150s on them & 17 have a 175 on it. One listed a 200HP!!!Dan
70.96 light, 67-68 tourney loaded full gear, bubbas, fuel, & wells.
I have hit a high of 68.6 with my 150 XR-6……..If I had a choice I would no doubt go with the 175. That is on the Sabre standard……FTD will be slower by a couple MPH..Elwood…..Bass Cat Proud
I have gotten 65.4 with my 150 Etec. 1/2 tank gas , tourney load and full wells by myself (205lbs). I am sure I could get 67-69 if I lightened it up.
62 for me. 2009 150 optimax set just as it came from factory. Havent messed with it. 23 pitch prop. Jumps out of hole. Really enjoy the boat.
Yes they are. They use the same carpet, seats, all fiberglass construction as the big boats. Like you posted they dont have ALL the bells and whistles, but you can add most of them on when you order.I really like my new Sabre, and would buy another in a heartbeat. One thing ill add, be sure to get a tilt wheel! The fixed wheel is to close to the seat, and unless you have no legs its cramped.Last edited by xpress spanky on August 29th, 2015, 4:22 pm, edited 1 time in total.

That is a beautiful boat! The one I am looking at has a tilt wheel, I sat in it and it seems the seats sit really high, do you like that or does it not really matter? Also what is the longest rod that will fit in the rod box?Last edited by jrank on August 29th, 2015, 7:27 pm, edited 1 time in total. Please change my user name to Firecat
Yes, the Sabre is built with the same quality and attention to detail as the bigger boats. Just for reference regarding space behind the console, I am 6 and weigh in at 230. Plenty of room for me. I currently have 4 eight foot rods in my boat. They will fit in either side. I recommend taking the rod organizer out (if it has one) and using rod socks.
The only difference in the construction is the Vinyl Ester resin in a Premium model that is an option on Advantage and Vision groups. There are other equipment differences though the construction process is entirely the same.
I have been running a Sabre since I bougt it new in 93. It has been a great boat.
I cant wait to get mine! I will try to post pictures. Please change my user name to Firecat

I thought the same thing regarding the seats being high but you get used to it and actually like it after being in it a while. You dont feel like your butt is in the water. The tilt wheel is an option I wish I had and may be trying to install soon if it possible. The only other option I wish I had is the extended deck. Not much $$$ but nice for sure. Ive fished out of another Sabre since buying mine that had it. I will be adding that soon. The HDS7 will fit in the dash too (see my previous posts) if you want that. My dealer wasnt aware it would fit. Its a great boat, I have loved mine so far (purchased mine on 5/2/15 I think it was). I have had one very minor issue with the trailer strap, and nothing other than that…unless you count not enough time to use it as much as Id like. Performance wise youll be pleased for sure. 60mph in my boat is very easy to see even with livewells full, full gas, and 2 people. It gets a little tougher to drive around 64-65 by yourself.Purchased new 5/4/15Bass Cat Sabre Vision EliteMercury Pro XS 150MotorGuide 75lb Tour EditionHumminbird – Stock (will be changing soon I hope)
