P215/70R15 on Coopers now. Hard to say on your alignment, though they do not normally wear like that. Since it is both back wheels we would be suspicious.
I recently got Maxxis tires, seems like they are a smoother ride and also easier to pull than the Goodyears that came on the trailer. Cant tell you how long they will last, but, Im impressed so far. BTW: They are a “D” rate trailer tire.
The salesman at Cooper Service in Texarkana told me that Cooper Cobra GT tires are still available. They were around 95.00 each mounted and balanced. The Firehawk Indy 500 tires I have on my 07 Sabre FTD trailer are still available too around the same price point. Ive noticed though that its getting harder to find tires in a 75 series profile. Most are 70 series in passenger tires. I will say I had Trailer tires (Marathons) on my last boat trailer. Dont recommend them. BCB is right about passenger radials being better on a trailer for a number of reasons.Last edited by Guest on December 17th, 2012, 12:16 am, edited 2 times in total.
I just put cooper cobras back on my 08 puma. Never had a problem with the first set and BCB indicated that any problems they may have had have been resolved.
BCBwhat size cobras are you putting on mod wheel? I have GY marathons now 205/75/15. Also the both back tires on trailer are bald on the inside edges. Is this normal wear or is something out of alignmentPeteLast edited by scubaman154 on April 19th, 2010, 8:32 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Mounting and balancing SHOULD be included in the price . — If not , Id find another tire store . — Ill put my 2cents worth in at this point , and recommend TRAILER tires , but there are differing opinions , of course . — Hoss
