i jsut picked up a 1989 PII with 200 Merc…one big thing i would like to do is make a flippin deck for it…do any of you all have this model with and insert i would love to see some pictures of them so i can get some ideas on how to get started on one.its in pretty rough shape somewhat but mainly just needs a good cleaning really. i havent got to take it out on the water yet since its still really cold here in Missouri but would love to see some pictures of your guys boats of the same years

There is not a deck though there was a deck lid that covered the cooler to extend the deck over the cooler. You will have to verify with parts that they still build that part as it was for an 88 to 92 or 94 model we believe.

A lot of the earlier Ranger owners would make an edge laminated plywood (two sheets epoxied together to make the edges thicker) insert for their boats and cover it with carpet to extend the deck. Seems pretty simple to me if you dont mind drilling some holes to bolt on some support brackets. Ill ask around and see if any of the local guys still have one setup that way.
