There is a ton of information on the Eyra and it’s capabilities w/ 200 or 225 HP, but not much on the Cougar FTD w/ same HP. I know the standard is to package premium boats w/ maximum HP or 250 for resale, but how will the Cougar FTD handle w/ a 200 or 225?? I ask b/c BCB lists the Cougar FTD w/ a 200 to 300 HP rating.

Most just push them out with the 250 engines. There was an SP series with a 225 on the later hull with an Advanatge model. Today everyone goes between 250 and 300, with no sales in the 200-225 range.

For the initial couple 2-3 grand savings, personally I wouldn’t even think about it. Trying to sell it later without taking a big hit would be more concerning to me. Everyone wants the 250 now which makes a 20’ boat with a 200 less desirable. Just my 2 cents.
