I fished a TX this weekend and noticed that the bow unit wasnt picking up the bottom at times. When I pulled the boat out I saw that near the transducer something I ran into during theday nicked the heavy black outer coating of the transducer cable and you can see multi-color wires exposed but no copper. So I am thinking about either covering the nick with 3M 5200 not that it is good and dry or I think there may be something called liquid electric tape that I can cover the nick with. Any suggestions or thoughts? If I have to replace the transducer how hard is that?
