Nina Wood was the pedestal that supported Ranger Boats in that older era. They sold the company in about 1985 era and left management positions soon after. They remained as figure heads until the separation of their heirs from Ranger.
They ran Ranger Boats much as did Bass Cat in that time frame. Smaller buildings, lesser costs, solid ownerships. The 2 financial failures of Ranger Boats were not under Forest and Nina’s watch, they were under the watch of others after them. The large complex and over extended company came after their ownership.
We have huge respect for the way Nina and Forrest ran the company. Our lack of comment is strictly based on not having much to add. They built their legacy and did it their way. The family of Forrest and Nina owned around 8,000 to 10,000 acres of farm lands in Marion County alone. They loved ranching Arkansas style and always did.
