noco genesis charger, or trolling motor no power please help

101 fortex on my P2 not working at all, I have a noco genesis charger and the lights are alternating red and green on all threee banks, indicating either the wires are not connected or the cells are dry. I checked the cells they are fine and wet, as are all the connections tight and free of build up. The only fuse I see is the grey breaker connected to a pos lead and it wasnt tripped, is there another breaker somwhere Im not seeing all the connections Im seeing are shrinked wrapped I cant imagine there to be a fuse under that? I did try the main breaker to no avail and removed the front cpanel to see if the rconnection is loose, nadda on all accounts Someone please steer me in the right direction as I gotta get back on the water for Monday thanks!!!! I probably shouldnt be commenting on electrical issues but…. are you saying your batteries are charged up but you arent getting power to the plug that the trolling motor plugs into up front?

no I dont believe the batteries are charging as the charger manual says that with alternating red and green lights there is no charge going to the batteries

Have you tried a portable charger to see if they take a charge? Surely someone will come along that knows more about this.

I would hook a portable charger up and run it for a while, and then check your onboard charger after the batteries have a partial charge, because some onboard chargers will not work when the batteries are below a certain voltage.

took the advise and charged them via a portable charger there is some sort of a small leak causing the 3 batteries to draw down completely thanks

Then we assume the Noco Charger is functioning now? That was the fail safe mode kicking in for safety and prevention of issues on a dead cell or shorted battery.

aniceguy,Thats why we are here. Manual cant be as descriptive to cover every scenario. Most are written to cover liability more than any other aspect. We can answer in a few minutes here a question no one thought about needing an answer to usually. Or at least we really do try to answer those. BCB
