I know its not exactly in your back yard, Ward, but FYI the “non-ethanol” trend has seen an increase here in the Hot Springs area. Next time youre headed toward Lake Ouachita the easiest one for you to hit is on HWY 270 west of town at the FINA station that will be on your right just about a mile before you get to the Royal Post Office. If you miss that one, the Shell station also on the right at the turnoff to go to Brady Mtn. ramp is now selling non-ethanol gas. Trader Bills wont sell anything but non ethanol gas, so keep him in mind if youre stopping by for tackle on Albert Pike. There are a few more FINA stations scattered around Hot Springs and most of them seem to be selling the same. I dont know if this is common for FINA, or if it is just some local thing? Im not complaining, and hope it continues to gain in availability. I suppose its partly due to the enormous popularity of boating in this area with Ouachita, Hamilton and Degray so close together. If you like, Ill be glad to gather area business names / addresses for “the cause”.
