I was wondering with the high lake level if there are any navigational hazards and floating debris that those who are not familiar with the lake should look out for? Does the lake currently have any floating debris, logs, etc.? Any caution boaters need to take on certain areas of the lake? Thanks and good luck to everyone.

It isnt bad to navigate at all. I havent been way up the creeks except one and there were some stumps but they will be 20ft under the water now Stay wide on the points and run the center of things and you are in pretty good shape. Judd Lasiter

I am back at teal point for lunch and there is a ton of floating debris….it seems that it is think in certain places but for the most part it isnt too bad. The fishing is much tougher than the navigation.

The navigation is not that bad, and will improve after todays wind. There are areas of debris that require some dodging in clumps and lines. Though no real threats overall. The points have some hazards as they are covered with muddy water in areas, and stay out on the recreation areas as they have underwater obstacles such as picnic tables. The fishing is not bad for some, good for some, hard for a few, and really bad for a few as well. No real large heads, though we know of some 15 pound stringers on Sunday. We do not expect that to hold with the volume of traffic. So our guess is for 25 pounds to win this year. BCB

Ive been over most of the lake in the last couple of days and saw very few floaters until I went up the river; but even there it was mostly clear running. There was one patch of debris in the main lake at the mouth of Briar creek that wasnt bad at all, just a few floating logs but easily navigable, but a couple miles past that was a big mat with many big logs that extended nearly all the way across the river and was about a 1/2 mile long. After that it was pretty clear all the way to the state line and I didnt go past there. That was today (Wednesday) so it could change, especially if the wind changes. Also, the whole time I was up the river I saw a total of 3 boats today too so nobody seems to be venturing up much past Pigeon. Hope this helps. Deke[font=&QUOT]Deke[/font]
