Well despite the hail, rain, wind and lightning storms this weekend the fishing on Table Rock was incredible. I was glad to see a local Arkansan win the event. Wayne Youngblood brought in a hog that weighed 8.70 on day one that could not be topped either day to win the event. I dont think Ive ever seen the amount of 5-7# bass come from a single tournament on The Rock that Ive been in. The bite was great on Saturday and fairly slow on Sunday but we still caught alot of numbers. Had three fish throughout the weekend that would have cashed a check if I would have made it in during the right hourly weigh in times. Just so happens the three weigh ins I decided to skip I would have been in the money. Pretty neat to be on the water anyways with 300+ boats and seeing how many we could fly by leaving from the hourly weigh ins back to our fishing spots. Could not believe the amount of guys coming up to me at the weigh ins saying”My goodness how fast will that thing go? You ran by us like we were standing still earlier” I have finally got a feel for the way it likes to run and cant believe how easy it is to drive at WOT and talk about smooth in the rough water we encountered. I am sure glad I went with BCB and think its safe to say you have a customer for life. Had the camera boat on us for over an hour on Sunday and hoping to see that black, yellow and white Puma on tv somewhere with me on the front deck in my Bass Cat rainsuit. Sorry BCB I tried my best to catch one that would beat 8.70 while the camera boat was on me but it just didnt happen.
