Im not familiar with Sam Rayburn at all. Which ramp will BC be using. I know things arent finalized yet, but any idea where the non-water activities will be held at? Thanks!
You can bet Humphrey Pavilion. Its at the dam.
Umphrey Pavillion………Twin Dikes Park is one ramp and the other ramp is on RR 255 just south east of the dam.

Well! Its been a long time but, theres San Augustine Park, There was a little local ramp toward the 5 Fingers area, Twin Dykes Park of course and one up buy 255 bridge. Im sure that theres got to be more around there, the only problem is the run to get to the take-off in the dark?? Phil and others should be the authority on the available ramps and parking.

Thanks everyone.
Umphrey and Twin Dikes area. Rayburn Country will be then host.
So how does the OI work with blast off?Everyone meet at Umphrey Pavillion ramp and numbers called out or do you just fish a certain time frame? Where is weigh-in? Is there some written agenda with all that info or Is it too early for all that?
It is early for those details and they are in process. The format will be the same as we have used in Mountain Home every single Owners Invitational. Fifteen minutes per flight out.80 boats per flight. Delay between flights in remaining time after 80 boats depart. Every fifteen minutes another flight will begin of 80 boats. Two take off areas will be used as described in previous memo on this site. Umphreys and Doc Shelton (Casel Boykin) Incoming flights usually have a 20 minute time breaks between flight deadlines. This has not been established yet. Casel Boykin (Doc Shelton) will have a special time sheet. Those will be distributed at THAT ramp ONLY. You must use the ramps there if ou are going to launch at Casel Boykin. It should take approximately 18 to 25 seconds to weigh each team. Some less time and some more. We use three scales which includes one just for Big Bass. Payout is traditional Bass Cat Owners Invitational for the past few years. Entry will remain at $150 and includes Big Bass. At least Third (3rd) through twenty-fifth (25th) will be paid according to placement in cash, pending maximum prize per team stipulations are not met. There will be a Wild Card payout similar to previous years for 25 Wild Card slots. These range from smallest stringer up. Smallest stringer has been $1,000 in previous events. For example a random 249th place was $751.00, while 101st was $899.00.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on February 13th, 2013, 5:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.
