For anyone that stayed at a resort for the OI this year, how about a review for people that might be looking for one for next year. I have always stayed in town and was getting tired of motels. Doug, the owner of Sunrise Point resort let me know that he had an opening so I decided to give it a try this year. They have 12 nice modern cabins with plenty of parking. The cabins were furnished with just about anything you would need, including a grill that got a good workout. There was also a washer/dryer available if you needed to do any laundry. They have a newer covered dock that was well lit and held 12 boats. The dock is located just south of Panther Creek so it was only a couple of minutes to the take-off in the mornings. From the resort to town was about a 10-15 drive. Doug was more than willing to offer any assistance in launching the boat or taking care of anything else you might need.
