Anything is better than what we have up here in northern Indiana. 10 inches of rotten ice on the lakes. So, no ice fishing and no boating. Cant wait to head south. Jonesy

Angolajones, why no ice fishing.? 10 inches of ice sounds good, unless your fishing in a foot of water. Glad I am away from that, but you can always buy a gas auger and even add an extension and let it do the work. You can do 30-36 inches of ice, enjoy and see you at the O I. pant 2 Bob

Typical OI weather is the area will be cuaght off guard by a cold front packing near 40mph winds, rain , hail, sleet, and the temperature will drop 35 degrees the day before the event ! Then the lake will rise 3-5 feet overnite from the 9″ of rain, and there will be wood debris covering the fish you had found, which have already left because you could track a coon across the lake from all the runoff ! THEN, the second day youll wake to bright bluebird skies with sustained 25mph northerly winds giving the lake a washtub effect, and all you want to do is chase rubber ducks ! As you load up to go home all you can think about is how fun it has been just being a part of something so incredible ! And how many days it is till nest years event. D
