MAN, Things are shaping up nicely to have a GREAT event in the next few weeks! The Invitational will probably hit Lake Norfork as the fish are moving up. There is an assortment of fishing styles to fish now. You can do everything from flip bushes, fish submerged stumps and on to old rock piles and rock walls on farms that are now submerged. The lake is at a stage it has not seen in several years. The vegetation is is dead, and will be prime for cover before it begins to decay from submersion. If we get a strong warm rainfall, then the fish could move up like we have not seen since about five years back at the Cystic Fibrosis event. The weather only has to cooperate a little bit to make this one of the highest winning weight events we have ever had. Water level is now above mid 550s and moving up slowly. The Bushes are in the water about 3 to 4 feet and the water temps are lower 40s in the morning. They will move hard this week to mid 40s and higher in the afternoon. The afternoon bite will improve in the muddy water, and clear water fish will wait on warming more to be aggressive. We are anticipating plenty of good stringers.
