P II fuel Run (how Far) is to far

Okay for all you technically correct guys out there, or at least somebody that has run out of gas getting to and from were the big ones live?? How many miles will my 09 PII go on a tank of gas? I know there are alot of variables, I just want a within the bases ball park mileage, it will be a river system so down and back? I have a 200 Opti, 26 Fury, will have a lite tackle load, 3 batt, me 165 lbs (partner draw ??), summer temps, 33 gal of gas.Thanks in advance

Back it off to the 5000 to 4500 range (4500 optimum usually) and you should range around 150+ miles. Watch your smart craft GPH or fuel used.

I planned on backing it off to around 4800 (happy med) and I dont have the smartcrafts on this one (did on my 05). Anyway thanks abunch for the help.

I made a run two weeks ago for a tournament and the round trip was 106 miles. I have a 2010 PII with 200 Merc ProXS with a 26 Fury and carried 43 gallons of gas with partner and livewells full. I was trying to conserve some fuel but also needed the time to fish, so I was running 5200-5400RPM @ 65-68mph. I did open her up on occasion on the way back. 106 miles with full load and burned 26 gallons of gas, which is 4 miles/gallon.

at wot with that engine you can make one serious run, longest run I ever contemplated was 30 miles with my P2 I think I ll take a shot and do one thats a good 150 miles

With my 09, I am averaging 4.1 mpg (Smart craft) at 66 mph/5360 rpm with water in livewell.

Thanks guys for the help as aways yall came through. For Basscat I really dont know the mileage total. Not there yet Im just planning for a tournament. Im planning on having to go that far to get away from the crowds. Its going to be in the 120-165 mile range according to goggle earth measurements.

Stop at the last fuel stop on the way to the lake and top it off totally. Put that last quarters worth in there and drive carefully on the last part. You can save an extra quart or more like this.
