Can the passenger handle, that is now being used, on the new P2’s be add to a 2015 P2? Or is there extra backing material being added to the new boats to support this handle installation?

When I got my p2 my wife had nothing but the bottom grab bar to hold on to. I added a console just for the since of security on her behalf. Along with the other benifits of a second console. With that being said Im glad to see the addition of a oh crap bar! Regardless of who the passenger is and whether you prefer a second console are not. More than one grab point was needed on the p2. There is a new passenger handle on the side in 2017 models we believe. That part has a stainless strap in the handle and the side panel would have to be supported. Parts probably does not have this part listed yet. BCB
The new Syntec handle is an expensive part due to the pre trimmed and formed stainless strap. The plastic handle on the glove box is pretty inexpensive in cost and design it appears as a similar part and is not. We will inform parts that there is interest.

Yes, that was a topic in the product meeting on this part. Availability is the question and we believe it is an Italian finished product source with some parts from elsewhere.
I will keep an eye out for this. Personally I always felt that the grab bar below the passenger seat is useless. Remove it. Will clean up the lower wall.
