Hello all,New to Bass Cat and the forums. Got a question about batteries, I want to put AGM style batteries in a P-4/Merc 200 Pro XS, with a Fortrex 101 36v system. I don,t have the boat yet, but Im in the process of ordering it. Would like input on size and possibly brand. Also am curious about a charger for the AGMs. Thanks in advance.

I have an Opyima 34m series start battery (800 amp CCA, 1000 amp MCA) in my Sabre FTD which is recommended for my 150 Optimax. Same for the 200 Pro XS.My TM batteries are Optima D27M deep cycles. NOCO Genius on-board charger. Great smart charger. No problem running my electronics all day and then cranking to get home. TM batteries never wear down even after 6-8 hours of use. Hope this helps. Someone with the same boat and motor may recommend something a little more robust.

BCB only suggests a large 31 series AGM on the cranking battery and they suggest regular 27 series trolling batteries are sufficient for most.

That is a true statement, and standard batteries are all abut weight. If it weighs more, thenut should be better, of course if they are the same style. AGM batteries are the same, go by weight and this includes the spiral cell models combined in the category with flat cells that are AGM.
