Whats everybody running My p4 with belly tank has a 200 efi 3 litre. lm turning a 26 tempest around 5300 rpm fully loaded in 102* Texas heat.With small vent plugs it blows out a little coming on pad but holeshot is awesome.I want to try a 4 blade like a bravo for better handling.Just not sure on pitch.

I would try the same pitch certainly wouldnt go below a 25. If you want to use the 4 blade all year go with a 26. Youre already hovering around max rpm at WOT so dropping pitch might put you over max RPM. If you have a prop shop close that will let you demo that would tell you really quick what you need. But my best guess? Stay with the same pitch.

I run mostly a 24 Fury and a 25.5 Bravo1 XS on my 03 PIV. Never got it to like Tempests. Trophys were simliar to the Fury but worse in holeshot. The Bravo is my favorite all around.

03 Optimax on mine. In cold (under 50 degrees) weather I cant run the 24 Fury wide open as it hits the rev limiter, but I use it most of the season. The 25.5 Bravo runs pretty similar revs for me.

I am running Yamaha stock 25 pitch prop on my 2007 and im going to try a 24 pitch Fury next week. Hole shot and top end is fair by myself with empty livewells and very little fuel. Add another person, gear, full livewells and a little more fuel then there is a big difference. I am also running 4 batteries with one of them a heavy weight Sears group 31 AGM. I think turning a few more rpms will make the difference when carrying a heavy load.
