What props and jack plate heights are all the classic guys running.And what kinds of GPS speeds are you seeing.

I have 26p Tempest, inner plate smidge below outer, 70 loaded, 72 light and best I have seen is 73. I dont really feel the need for speed, could probably raise the motor a little, but dont feel the need and I like how it drives as it is. Turning 5800 RPMs when cool, thought about going to a 26 Trophy, but I like how the boat performs as it is.. 07 200 Opti. I am no expert driver and alot of classic owners see better numbers than me, but this is what I get

Thank you for your reply. I have tried the 26 trophy,plate flush fully loaded with 20-30 gallons of gas, 72 gps @5500-5600 rpm water temp @ 87-89. Going raise the plate a 1/2″ and try it out this weekend weather permitting.

Let me know how it goes. I am thinking about trying a Fury, when I get some $$, but sounds like that Trophy is doing well for you. Maybe I can get one at a decent price with alot of folks going to the Fury.
