Hey Fellas. Looking to import the first PIV to Australia for our Bass tournaments, We have a dealer who i know will support the product as well as BCB in the States, I have been to the U.S.A twice previously and fished a few tournaments. Looking for a little help on overall performance of this hull as the one i rode in was a 2005 model. We have other U.S hulls in Australia but i was impressed by the PIV. All comments appreciated. Cheers Simmo.
The PIV is the best 195″ hull you can buy, period. Runs good with a 200, and will handle any water you want to run. Fishes like a much larger boat, and has ample storage. I dont think you can design a boat any better than the Pantera IV is designed. I miss mine sometimes, especially the net storage. D.
Ive been running my 2006 P IV now for three seasons. I fish Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River, Lake Champlain and this past season Lake Erie. All big bodies of water that get really nasty quick. The P IV has handled it all nicely. Storage space is excellent, fishability is tough to beat, and just an all around nice platform to fish from. Boat on typical windy day with 2 footers or less will run 66 to68 MPH with a tournament load, full tank of fuel and two fisherman. By myself I can run 71-72 mph. In 3 to 4 foot waves I can run 45 mph and just cut the waves. In 5 to 6 footers its time to slow down, put the nose in tthe air and just cruise a long at about 10 to 12 MPH. No major issues to this point with the 200 Opti or the boat. Looking forward to another fun season of tournament fishing in 2010…….
Do it Simmo ya wont be disapointed mate….
Thanx fellas. Thrilled with the replies, they were the answers i wanted to here.
Hey Simmo, it would be nice to see another basscat here in Australia…!!!.As you know theres not many here in Oz and it would be great to see the Pantera in the flesh. I bought a Sabre of Kim and i love the boat they really are a top boat, there fitout and finish are first class. Mate there ride is sweet and they will hold there own against anything weve got over here IMHO. Hope to see ya in a basscat in the future mate…… Cheers Andrew.
Thanks bcb. I have for the a while now read about the customer satisfaction that bcb provide. they always seem to go out of there way to help and being in Australia it was impressive to say the least ,but today i am pleased to say that this goes world wide. Between Kim here in Aus and Rick in the U.S they have impressed beyond belief. So that means the first piv has been purchased to arrive on our shores i cannot wait it has only been in the pipeline since 2002 when i fished Orville as a AAA competitor and was lucky enough to draw a basscat. Thanking bcb and the people who have helped this happened. Craig Simmons (Simmo)
We are sure the staff inside will accomplish what you need in a P4 for Australian waters! Now how you Mates makes to the mainland of the USA for an Owners Invitational is another story! LOL! BCB Admin.
Thankc BCB. Dont count me out i have been over twice before just to fish your bass tournaments, and am keen to come again. All i have to do is win another basspro final over here and i am on my way. The concern would be the 9000 dollars to transport the boat back to the U.S. Or we grow our family and have our own. Cheers Simmo.
Simmo, If you ever decided you have a “hankerin” to fly over here and participate, we might be able to scrounge up a partner with a boat or possibly a boat to loan for you. BCB
