It all depends on what you want/need in a boat. I think both are good choices. If I ever get another new boat, I will likely downsize a bit to a PII. The main reason, for me, would be the cost. I think I would be just as satisfied in a Pantera as I am with my Cougar. If you fish a lot of big water, then the Cougar would be a better choice, although a PII will handle some pretty rough water. The Cougar with a 250 is a faster boat, but for me, I really dont need that speed. I cant drive mine over 76 anyway.
