Ladies & Gentlemen, We have been inundated this last few weeks with Parts calls. Anyone is welcome to use the E-Mail address of [email protected] to contact them. They are doing their best and we have two full time and one part time with 3 more individuals helping on questions as we can. The parts business has been substantially stronger this year, and apparently there are plenty of folks trying to upgrade boats. It is seriously taxing our parts department, and they must be aware of what parts you need top be able to assist you. So we cant just put anyon ein there. We are running out of parts much more frequent that every before on some older items. For example we keep about 12 to 15 #501 windscreens in stock, and those generally last us several months. This year we ran out of 501 windscreens with in the past 30 days. The seat department internally for seat replacements and skins of older BCB models is usually only a few weeks out, and they are now 12 weeks out. While this is a good problem to have, we could not have trained and been prepared for this. We sell a good bit of carpet as we stock the 24 ounce version, we are shipping as much or more carpet some days than we use. Of course some of that is not for BCB models and it going on other brands. No doubt we are doing our best to handle these issues, though we sense some tension in some individuals when they call in and the parts department is on the phone. If you need a part, we understand! If someone else can help you we would be glad to do our best. To eliminate a good portion of the problem, try not calling during the lunch time as they are short staffed and split that time usually, occasionally going to lunch by themselves. We want to apologize for the delays, though we are receiving more calls than at any time and we could not have anticipated this recent volume. People seem to be bringing old boats out of garages everywhere and refurbishing them. We just want everyone to know we are trying to do our best here, and this is something we have not faced before.
