Live in Michigan and still have my Sabre in storage, but am having fun fishing in the Keys. My bay boat has 2 crank batteries and an onboard 2 bank charger with Perko battery switch. I have been told to use battery 1 on trip to fishing and switch to battery 2 for the run home. Usual trip 15-20 miles 1 way. Then when charging overnight to set switch neither. This shuts charges well but shuts down everything onboard. My problem is when I run my livewells overnight to keep shrimp alive and designate either 1 or 2, I end up with 1 dead battery. Both batteries a new and when switch is off charge nicely. Should I set switch fo both 1 and 2 or is their something else I need to do. Down to about 2-3 more weeks in the Keys, then back toa simple straight forward BassCat Sabre fishing in40-50 degree waters. Current water temp in the Keys is 78 and climbing. Thanks so much in advance.
