Perko Latch (T- Handle) Broken..

Hello. I have an 05 Cougar w/ the black plastic Perko deck locking latches… A couple of the latches got left open and stepped on so they got busted. It looks like I can just replace the little “T” handle since I see a small screw in it. Anyone done this? Id like to replace the plastic ones I have currently with metal ones so they take a bit more stomping on.

I broke one on the ice chest by not latching it completely and then stepping on the lid. I just went to BCB parts for the replacement. If you change brands you may have to replace all at the same time in order to be keyed the same. Just a thought.

look up on the search forum and somebody has a repair shop that they do on the latches if you dont want to buy new ones.

lots of us went thru the upgrade. bcb used to have some used plastic latches that they were selling, as they swapped out complete sets on older boats.
