Perplexing problem. My 2006 Pantera Classic 200 Optimax 26P Tempest plus lists/leans to the Port under 40+ mph. Jack plate is presently set at level was set ˝” above when I got it and was told to lower it. The lakes in So Calif have 35 mph speed limits and while at the BassCat Invitational I was able to run 60+ with the boat perfectly level. It does not matter how the boat is loaded or empty the list under 40 mph never changes until a higher speed is reached. What’s going on, what’s the fix??

I would think it has to be due to weight distribution . — 35 m.p.h. speed limit ?!?!?! — My boat barely stays on plane at 35 !! — Seems like the engine would be laboring horribly as well at that speed unless you prop way down . — Ah , California . — Glad I left when I did . ( 1976 )

I experience listing to port at low speeds too. I wrote it off as “just one of those things”. Seems much more noticable on my little sabre compared to my big cougar.

I have run the boat solo and empty and still have the list so its not a load issue.

My CougarFTD leans to the left until I get to about 40 mph. I can run it up to say 45 or higher, then back off and it will run level at 25 or 30. It does it whether its loaded or whether I am by myself. Both of my Cougars have done the same thing. I have no clue why it does that.

A bit of trim should improve this at lower speeds.

If I fished strictly 35 mph lakes I think I would try a Brians hydro-foil

Yeah, it should lean like that. I have an 07 Classic and have never had that issue with the 26 Fury or 26 Trophy Plus. Try a little trim as BCB says to see if it solves the problem.

Move, thats what I did, miss the weather but pulled that lake casitas lock off my trailer. It doesnt cost $22 to launch my boat either

I would do exactly what TJ did……………….MOVE!Prop rotation is contributing to this. Trimming up will help. Trim up too high and it may begin to porpoise.
