I think Pete needs to change his profile picture on his FLW profile he is still wearing a Ranger jersey.
They will in their due time… Their time…. … … …. …… ……… …………. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. time..
Have you ever noticed on their show that action shots always get the Ranger worked in. Any other boat you cannot see the brand and most of the time you really have to look to see which boat mfg the pro fishing out of.
Have you ever noticed how many commercials and pro staff member all the other companies have on their boats? I dont understand this type of marketing at all. This type of marketing drives the prices of the boats sky high because someone is paying for the PROS free boats. I am a firm believer that the boats are sold at the dealership and at the boat dock by local pro staff or other bass boat owners. How many times have you had an elite series pro offer you to drive his boat or use any of his rods or reels? I have known quite a few people that have made the jump from local fisherman to the pros and they dont have the time of day for us lower level fisherman unless they need information about a local lake or river. If the professional fisherman had to buy their own rigs and how many of them would actually buy a Triton, Ranger, or Skeeter? I know my choice is going to be the toughest, most reliable, best resale, and best performing boat on the market. These companies continue to spend the big money on advertising I guess to be the biggest not the BEST. I think that Bass Cat is doing it right. I have never been to a web site that offers so much support and brotherhood. I want to thank Phil Addison and the other people including Bass Cat for answering my questions about Bass Cat boats and this is why Bass Cat will be my next boat. This is just my opinion!!Garry HaginsGarry Hagins
We often ask ourselves the same questions Gary. Thanks for the comments. BCB
I enjoy these economic discussions in our hobby- what an odd economy it is and BCB knows better than me but-#1 Free boat dont happen that much. For a year I would tolerate just about anything… I mean I own and Evinrude right?#2 If you are tied to a company the size of Yamaha the costs are negligible on the balance sheet for Elite level prostaff and I know how significant one of their positions are on the upper end- goes well beyond a boat. WELL BEYOND A BOAT. Knowing some of the skeeter deal for big boys its clearly getting accounted for via Yamaha and I dont see the costs of a 20i reflecting that accounting.I assume the same to be true for Nitro- got lots of lines of cash.I figure the Danger boats guys still acutally want that thing but thats another deal. However for the small boat only companies I do see the point and costs and such. And I would say the area that I wonder about is more of the numerous local “prostaff” and how they affect boat prices. I would bet this level affects price more than the 200 between two circuits at the upper end.Last edited by clownshoes on February 20th, 2013, 10:12 pm, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Jr. III
You gotta like seeing “The Red, White and Blue” Cowling getting some Pro Exposure on a BassCat. Seeing his BassCat on Pic one of B.A.S.S. practice day slide show looked great. Ive been to several Bass Universities and PG is one knowledgeable and likeable guy. Great choice BassCat.
