Thanks catman but that wasnt me. Not that it couldnt have been. That story was posted in the crappie section of the Texas Fishing Forum. I thought sharing it on this forum might get some others thinking like it did me. Looking back, I always wear a life jacket when the big motor is running but Im not as good at keeping the kill switch lanyard connected. Sometimes I forget and some times I just dont bother. I will do better going forward though. Food for thought, thats all.

BCB has continuously suggested that we wear our life vests and safety switches.

Wasnt good about wearing vest or lanyard until this fall when a local club member was killed this past fall on southern Lake Champlain. Boat going in circles hit and killed him. Partner was seriously hurt but survived. I wear both now before touching the key. Its just smart.
