Does anyone own a Phelix near eastern Pennsylvania? Im considering buying one & would like to see one in person. Or does anyone have one for sale in my area? How would the new 20 h.p. merc. run on this? Pitcher
A 20 hp merc two stroke (15″ shaft) would really run fine on this rig. They would usually run from 19 to 27 MPH, and that would depend on weight and propeller. The Phelix really likes a Stainless propeller. Yes on a 20 or 25 hp!
Ed, One of my sons has a Phelix he is considering selling, and i will be traveling out your way in the near future. Gimme a shout if i can help, and i have a few pics if youre interested. I think its an 08 , but may be 07, but 25 Merc 4 stroke, MG FCTM, 2 pedestal seats, battery charger, bilge pump, aerator pump, and a small graph ! I bet the engine doesnt have ten hours on it, and it all looks new. Let me know if youre interested. Doug Swann
I just sold a Phelix to a gentleman in Richmond, VA. He will take delivery of the boat within the next two weeks. Im not sure how far you are from Richmond, but this gentleman shouldnt mind if you rode down and saw his boat. Let me know if youre interested. hey Pitcher, So you know you do not have to BURDEN yourself with the abysmal performance of a 4 STROKE……I would power a Phelix with a 25 E-TEC, or a Carbed Yammie 25 2 stroke, the Yammie is quite expensive for being carbed, yet its a 100:1 mix motor so its low on smoke and efficient…..However the 25 E-TEC is best in class for power, emmisions, Tiller has a Troll feature that will add or decrease RPMS by 50rpm increments, then if you power up and go to a new spot, it will return to your troll speed……Go to Evinrude.com, and the details are there…..We are lucky enough to have the ONLY 2 instock, but we are willing to sell them to other BRP dealers at our cost, they are going to sell out completely before June 2009……call if you want real pics, info etc…….Brannon 920-295-2069 Your Signature …
Boy…I never saw that one coming I think I mightve thrown up in my mouth a bit. On a serious note….I have seen basketmans boys Phelix and it would be like buying a new one. If I was smart I would buy it. Judd LasiterLast edited by basschaser on February 26th, 2009, 8:14 pm, edited 1 time in total.
So Brannon, do you have a Phelix in stock for him to see ? Or are you just so full of Blue blood that you get paid by the post ? Made me wanna puke too ! I just wish Brannon had been in a four stroke Mercury powered Phelix so he could compare, but none of the racers have been in a Phelix, that would ruin their reps ! Pitcher, If i had the $$$$ right now i would buy this boat from my son so i could have a backwater “Caddy”. I have said, and i continue,,,,someday i will have one of these boats, they are that exceptional ! D.
Phelix with the 4 stroke Merc is the sweetest little small water boat youll ever sit down in. The four stroke is super quiet and gets incredible fuel mileage. A two stroke will outrun it, but Ill take the quiet, smooth running EFI four stroke fuel economy anyday.
Doug, When will you be coming out this way? Are you going to be fishing around here? Ed
Probably in March, weather permitting. I will be on a sales trip which generally covers NJ, MD, DE, VA, NC, and maybe SC and GA this time ! I drive, and can begin on either end, so if you wanted the boat i could bring it out. Send me your e-mail to Dbasketman@aol.com and i will send some photos, and ask the son what he will sell for. Thanks, and anything i can do to help just gimme a shout ! If i can help find one closer i will be glad to assist in any manner possible, D.
