Finally getting in my new ride tomorrow. Going from a 93 PII to a new PIV. Dont think Ill sleep well tonight. Any tips running SHO with Detwiler jackplate appreciated.

The SHO gear case will help lift that P4 and once you get time on it you will learn the engine height is critical to keep lower settings.

BCB, what do you mean by “engine height is critical to keep lower settings: ? I also have a new P4 with the SHO, and I am having a little trouble getting it dialed in. I will be getting a new 25p fury to try next week since I can not get my rpms above 5,000. It came from the dealer with a 26p fury. Runs great at 66 mph, but I have to trim it way up and it gets squirlly around 68 mph. any thoughts or help would be great. Thanks, Ed

P4SHOCat, If your having trouble dialing in a P4 and preventing chine walk at 68, then we assume this to be one of your first performance rides. The Pantera IV is not really a performance hull that has limitations. It is a forgiving hull and if your having trouble driving thine you probably need to keep the engine lower and many try to raise engines to gain performance. All Bass Cat hulls require engines to be lower and wont run well elevated on the plates.
