WOW – So I bought my new PII on Jan 14th and because of boat shows and my work travel schedule I just recently got to bring her home. No biggie, as Im from the Dayton, Ohio area its currently 19 degrees and snowing. I didnt have time to get the garage ready yet so its sitting in the drive covered with 3 inches of snow already but that cover is holding up fine. Anyway – the excitement builds as Im finally driving to the boat shop. The boat was in the barn, under lights, fixed up and ready to go. Of course at this point I had already bought the boat a month ago but as the dealer went through the boat with me I just found myself saying WOW to myself over and over again. I think Im in a rather good position to judge boats as in the last 10 years I have owned 1 Stratos, 2 Rangers and 1 Triton – so I can easily compare. The Bass Cat boat is simply amazing and I havent even had it on the water yet. When you sit in a boat its pretty easy to tell one thats well built. Heres what I noticed right away: Console space, dash controls ( how cool are these?), front deck space, comfortable seating, carpet (Bass Cat owners might take for granted the seams where the carpet meets the sides but go look at some other boats), the gel coat finish WOW, mercury switches on the lids, 3 courtesy lights, security system, Yes I could go on and on but will stop. I just cant say enough about the quality – take the fit on the deck lids, tight as can be and solid feeling. The trailer is awesome, I love the step since I put in and take out by myself most of the time. The cover – I have the Aurora cover and I can tell you it does the Bass Cat boat proud, it even looks fast with the cover on : ) When it came time to purchase I was down to a Ranger 198 and this PII. Bass Cat quality completely sold me and we all know Ranger is a good quality boat but doesnt compare to what I bought. The PII is bigger than the 198 but takes up 1 foot less in the garage – Bass Cat does it right guys!!! In closing about quality I just want to say – how bout that battery compartment??? Ive never seen one so clean and well arranged, circuit breakers right there, pump cartridges (easy replace) but I love the main power switch!!!As I was driving home I just knew EVERYONE was looking at this boat with envy in their hearts. I even found myself locking my doors being concerned someone was going to car jack me and try to take my rig – Im afraid they would have a fight on their hands because Im not handing this over . Sorry no good pictures yet but will get some as soon as I can. Ive posted a few times on this board but now Im a proud and happy owner, cant wait to get on the water and then come back and ask questions. Heading south soon for some smallie action. Oh and to beat all, I get home today and theres a letter saying I can order a rod, 2 life vests and other things for free. I feel kind of bad since I got a great boat and now BCB is giving me stuff . Regards all…. Mike

After a year I still have a love afair with mine you wont be sorry!
Kind of like I felt a year ago after picking up my new P4. Hated that wait for the ice to go out. Now pack her up and bring her down to the owners tournament for some early season fishing. C
Mike you just told most of what Ill be saying in a couple days! Im leaving o dark early and heading to Sherms in the morning to p/u my PII. I feel exactly like you describe! All I have to do is get my old boat up there (nice man from the area is buying it) tranfer it to new owner and hook up the PII! Just 11-12 hrs driving for me and one son. Ill probably float home with that beauty hooked to the truck. I have been waiting a LONG time for this. Congrats on your ride, shes a beauty!
