Just curious what a p3 weight is on the trailer. From what I hear my 94 Eyra is around #3,000. Kind of pondering a P3, just didnt know what the weight difference is. I have a 2007 Ford Explorer with the 4.0 v6.

Hello. I have a 99 P – 3 and i think it is around 3100 lbs . I think you can see past model weights . Usually i see an extra 100 – 125 lbs for each additional foot in boat/trailer length if you look at the specs of the new models. Things like bigger gas tanks and 1 extra battery could push it to 300-400 lbs however you load for towing to the lake. Hope that helps. Thanks. Brian Chance. 1999 P – 3

Loaded be interested in what BCB comes up with as I would think total weight loaded boat, motor, trailer, etc. items likely closer to 4,000#?

I have a 2003 P3.Before you put any tackle in the boat you will be real close to 3500 pounds.Hull weight is listed as 1490 for the Single Console and 1520 for the Dual. Tandem trailer is roughly 1000 pounds, 200 Opti is 500 pounds , 3 batteries approx 150 +, one tank ( 26 ) gallons 160, Trolling motor 75. That is 3400 pounds empty. Add in oil, spare prop, tools, graphs, then fill up the storage with tackle and Youll be pushing 4000 pounds.I also had a 1999 Pantera 3 and towed it with the same vehicle. The 4.0 will tow fine, just be sure the trailer brakes are up to par. Unless you live in a really hilly region you should have no problems as long as the braking systems are good or you want to win all the races on the interstates.

We feel 3500 is a old estimate and make sure the brakes work well as the vehicle needs some help to stop that load.
