The bad news here is that PinPoint units are not that reliable and you have a problem that you probably cant fix. Youll have to send it in to get repaired. The upside to PinPoint unit is that the sonar is good. One thing you might try is to place it around some heat. They hate moisture and drying it out may help it come back to life if it got wet.
