Hey guys been thinking about getting a new pitching/flipping rod. Just curious what yall were using. I would like to find one thats not a broom stick I have had issues with hook tearing out on really stiff rods. Any info on certain rods would be great. Thanks

Hey Ryan, I use a 7 6 MH Shimano Crucial. Its got a really strong back end for wrenching them out, but soft enough on the business end that it wont rip through.

Kistler Z Bone or the new KLX, 5 or 6 power rod (H or XH) depending on what you like.

I would suggest that you look at the Dobyns Champion 765FLIP, which is 76″ 5 power rod, med-heavy flipping stick. This rod is absolutely amazing and not a broom stick.

I would recommend Dobyns as well. Alot of different actions to choose from, made with quality components, and good customer service. Personally I use a Dobyns Extreme 744 and 745. The 744 has a softer action than the 745. Good luck finding one that fills your needs.

I agree with Phil. Dobyns are really good rods.

Thinks everyone I will check these out. Wish I had a Dobyns dealer near by so I could check them out. May just take a chance that I will like it and order one. Thanks again.
