PIV Props and Speeds

Id like to see folks with PIVs list their props, motors, and speeds for comparison. Id like to see if Im in the range I would like to be.For me so far:2006 PIV2006 Merc 200 Optimax24 Trophy Plus61 MPH at 5300 rpmFull tackle load, Main Gas Full, Saddle Tanks with 10 gallon total, Three Batteries, One Person of 185lbsBoat had a 25P Fury on it when I got it, but it was too much for my boat and motor. Anybody run a Tempest on a PIV?

Look here in the Owners Gallery http://bassboatowners.com/basscat_pantera4.html I think you have some more left in it, mine with a 200HO Etec ran 70 at sea level and with the Yam SHO runs about the same. I run a Croxton worked 24 Fury.

2007 PIV2011 ProXS25 FuryRuns 67-68.5 on gps at +/- 5,450 RPMS. I run both back tanks full (20 gals) and about 1/2-1/3 tank in the main (10-15 gals) . Running 2.7-2.9 of trim…. out of about 4 I can get to on the smart craft trim gauge. If I trim more RPMs go up, boat slows down.Seems like it has more in it, but havent had time to mess with it. Boat was setup when I got it, Thanks to Basscatcowboy!

I ran a 26p Trophy on mine, 5650+ rpms and 71.6 mph. The Fury wasnt out then but a 25 should smoke on one !Both my P4s liked the plate LOW,,,, bout as low as i could run it, and generated more lift.

2006 PIV 2006 Opti26 Trophy +5750 rpm70.8 mphthats the best Ive seen, main tank 3/4 full, saddle tanks 1/2 full. Tournament load, and just me in the boat.

With the 25 Fury, I just could not turn that prop. I could only turn a 25 Fury to 4900 rpm at WOT. I also had a 26 Trophy Plus that ran almost identical to the 25 Fury. I traded for a 24 Trophy Plus and hole shot instantly got so much better, I could turn 5300 or so, and went to 61 mph. I think theres more here too…….just never had to find it before. My old BCB I had was set up went I got it to run. This one is not. Im having to dial it in.

CB, So many variables. WOT you got to account for current plus or minus on the speed if you are on a river system and there is a big difference vs being on open body of water with no current. Wind aid will hurt your feelings and pump you up too. So stay true to BassCats estimates so you are not disappointed. Cooler season you go faster. Warmer season you go slower. So estimate 66-70 plus depending how you have your PIV loaded and time of year. For sure you are on the lower end. You got a great hull and a great motor be patient and enjoy the color on the canvas. Id be checking into Fury or Tempest plus if you want to go faster. For sure you are not getting enough RPMs to max out speed. Those have have dialed in their PIV/Merc Setup share your motor height. Seems DB has one of the fastest.. DB, what was your motor height and trim level?

I should add, I also have a power pole. Batteries are 3 31 series. I did remove the on board charger because I have never liked the idea of beating on an electronic device if it is not necessary. That gives a feel for my weight distribution.

04 p4 04 3.0l efi 26 fury 74 best with me and 1/2 fuel. 68-70 with full load 2 guys and wells full. No kicker tanks, it gets on the limiter pretty bad with a light load ….need to have the 26 fury worked up a little..
