I got a call from some folks that live up there. It appears that Mt. View was hit hard, but Mt. Home was luckier. The hospital in Mt. View was hit hard. I also hear that Lakesport Boats in Clinton is in trouble – someone maybe trapped in the building (unconfirmed). Send them your prayers. One of the locals, Tommy Cauley, works for them and some of you may know Toad.
I heard from some folks in Leslie and Harrison that the whole town of Clinton got hit hard and theyve called out the first responders from neighboring counties to help. Also heard Gassville got hit hard too and I heard the same about the hospital in Mtn. View. Lets not forget the folks in Memphis and GTown TN and NE MS. They apparently got it hard too. Hope Mike Whitten is OK. He lives in GTown. Ive already seen pictures of a tornado that was on the ground less than a mile from where I used to live in NE Memphis (Bartlett). Prayers for all are definitely in order! DekeDeke
I feel obligated to update my prior post. Tommy Jackson with Ark. Dept.of Emergency Management, just reported that Baxter County has numerous injuries. I think things will continue to get worse before they get better.
Rick and his family are OK, not sure of the extend damage in the area as yet? BCB
I hope everyone in the Gassville area are ok as well as people in Atkins, Clinton, and Mountain View and throughout AR, MS, TN that were effected by these storms!!
I was listening to coverage of Super Tuesday and they were live in Arkansas. They stated a boat manufacturer in north Arkansas was destroyed. Anyone know who this was?
It will be morning before the area damages can be assessed. Gassville is decimated and we have been in touch with a few of our families there, who have damage, though are safe. North Arkansas caught it hard and our friends in Clinton who built the hulls for the aluminum line have major damage. Hardy and Highland areas have serious damage or total devastation in areas. Mountain View has some damages. Then in Central Arkansas has serious damages. In Mountain Home we are all fine with only minor damage and no damage at the shop. Thank You for all of your concern. We will know more in the morning. BCB
I am sorry to hear that I hope everyone is safe! Judd Lasiter
Our prayers are with them all. God Bless them in their time of need.
