Anyone successful mounting their point-1 heading sensor on the bow?I put mine to the left of the trolling motor and am having a heck of a time getting it to work right. The heading seems intermittent even after calibrating it.I saw pictures of it mounted in this location on new boats. Mine is a 07 Puma. Been dealing with this function not working for about a year now and I want to get it squared away.Not sure if my antenna is faulty, or if I put it in a bad spot.

It has worked fine there without any complaints we are aware of.

I have a friend that has his Point one mounted on the bow. I asked him if he has any interference from the trolling motor and he told me the only time he uses that antenna is when the TM is deployed. When it is stowed he gets too much interference. Dan

Ok ill do some more tooling around with the settings and see exactly how I have it set. While in the garage last night pressing buttons I think I figured out my problem, but wont be able to tell until im on the water and out of the garage. MeanV2- is your buddy gps mounted to the left of the trolling motor or right at the bow of the boat?

Jon, I believe it was mounted on the right side of trolling motor if you are looking from the console. I know it was pretty much straight across from the TM. I wanted to put one up there but several told me I would have problems with interference including a Lowrance Pro Staffer that does a lot of installs so I scraped the idea. It would be nice to have one there!Dan

I put mine outside the trolling motor and it has worked perfect, 2013 Puma.
