Interesting and entertaining thread. With the Elites coming to Champlain for the first time in quite a few years, it will be interesting to watch for who reaches out to who. One things for sure, doubt anyone will reach out to me.
I like the idea of it. Also have 25% of the field randomly drawn for a polygraph. That would end the info sharing after a couple events for sure. Ive never had any info pan out so I just go fishing. I think it makes me a better angler.
I agree with it also. If it is on the internet and a fishing report that is public knowledge then thats cool. But paying and asking for info is different. Now biggest majority say they dont but how does a kid from Idaho come to Arkansas and mysteriously end up in the back of west sugarloaf on a old bridge pillar and roadbed for 3 days and know the quality of fish that was there. Its not really on maps or gps you have to know its there. It wasnt really a spot that was hush hush but it wasnt out there being talked about all the time either. To make a 40 min run each day to that one spot with that kinda confidence doesnt just happen. Im not saying he isnt good but I feel like that was bought. So the weeks following I seen people from 6 different states trying to duplicate his every move in the same spot. So thanks for the press release lol. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to Marshall the Bull Shoals and Norfolk lake event and I thought that was quite awesome and I would like to see it again or maybe table rock and Bull Shoals it really made them work for it then.
With a 150 years ago it was exactly 30 minutes to Lead Hill and less than 45 to Bear Creek. That bridge in West Sugarloaf is very well marked and has been on the old maps for decades. On older maps even the approaches are marked. The newer map details are not nearly as high quality on several of the old homesteads, rock fences and foundations as the old topographic maps we had (have) then. That event was one of those first revisits to Bull Shoals and the last one is the first and only time they have split the venue. Any of the older hands knew about that bridge the one we all see in East Sugarloaf (Swindle) and the two many dont know are in East Sugarloaf. Then there are numerous springs there also. Much of this is on the older maps.
