In the bilge, what is recommended or currently done with the 6 gauge wire that runs from the starting battery through the bilge area and up the starboard side. In other words, how is it supported or what route is it taking in that bilge area? Trying to ensure proper installation on an 06 Sabre.Thanks.

A 2006 should be in the sump and not in the gunnel. Though if yours is in the gunnel, then it is inside a PVC tube.

Sorry I wasnt clear. I will be upgrading electronics and was referring to running the heavy wire from the starting battery to console graph as well as up to the bow. Just trying to determine what route they should take off the port side battery and through that bilge area to the starboard side. Not sure how it should be secure or tied off as it crosses that bilge area where all my wiring resides before making its way up that pvc. Hopefully thats a little clearer.Thank you.

They would run in the starboard (right) gunnel and just lay in there where you can’t restrict them. You can go through the rub rail and pin it with a screw eye tie strap in the rod box sections. Remove the insert and drill it for a machine screw and nut inside holding the tie strap.

These self adhesive cable ties are very helpful for attaching wire in areas where the fibreglass is accessible like the rigging area and rod lockers. Clean the area with alcohol before applying. The adhesive is strong. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial- … /203531921
