My 2 cents,On my Cougar, I did the toggle on the bow and the consol and thought I could get away without the remote BAD MOVE (IMHO) was not convient. I mounted the pump infront of the fuel tank. On the Puma, I mounted the pump on a plate I made to go between the bump ups (over the bilge pumps). I bought the remote with 2 fobs. Leave one in the truck (if your garage or carport is lower than 7 feet you will need to lower it) and one in the boat. I wired the toggle switch in as a back up by the pump in the hull area. What I found was the wireless worked the best because you may want to launch the boat (by yourself) and you can stick the pole to keep it from floating off. Also, it was a pain either bending over or stomping the switch. With the fob around your neck, you can raise it anywhere in from boat anytime. I dont know how mayny times in the cougar I stood there for hours, plopped down in the seat, go to take off and the pole was still down and had to get up go to the front and raise the pole. Milton
