Maybe this will help someone else wanting to put power poles on Pantera II with 6″ slidemaster. Power pole says the 2-2 mounting bracket will work but it does not clear transom. I think this will be the bracket for Sabre also but dont quote me on that one. Bracket PBS54 worked for me. Here are some pics…Barely clears tie down bolt on port side. The gap between the two plates pulls tight when you mount poles. But plenty of room on starboard side. Motor is center to hull so guess top cap is not center to hull.Braced bracket is two pieces and can be a pain by yourself. Found best way to work with the braced bracket was to position slidemaster back plate with top bolt, thread bottom bolt and loosely tighten, then remove top bolt and swing up, and finally put top bolt through plate.Power pole says to use slidemaster backplate only to attach. I did not feel 100% good about power pole only being held on with aluminum plate so I got longer SS bolts and put washer and locknut in addition to plate to make sure poles stay put. Heard of a guy having pole come loose going down lake. 3 3/4″ bolts were perfect length ($1.70 each). Cheap insurance policy. Picture is looking down through jackplate.
