Topic: Power pole shut off switch?

BCB you recommended before that we should install a shut off switch for the new wireless pps. But everywhere I go I cannot find a switch which can be hooked in direct line of the battery so what kind is switches are you all using? Thanks

The shut off should be able to be connected directly to your main power switch . I was told this is a deterrant for people with smart phones to not be able to deploy the poles.If you cant convince them, confuse them.

No, you dont want it to your master power switch. You need a separate switch in the battery compartment. Call Bobby with parts and tell him you need a switch and the mounting plate and it comes with 2 pop rivets. (It looks just like our matser power switch). He will know just what you need. Just get your dealer to hook it up for you. Just picked mine up an hour ago for the same thing!! Last edited by Joey on October 24th, 2012, 7:26 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I just used an in-line toggle switch on the hot wire to the pole motor. works fine

Thanks for the heads up. I was told it could be mounted to the main. Is there a reason for a separate switch?If you cant convince them, confuse them.

ccain,as long as the circuit is broke,it really doesnt matter .Most 12volt systems are ground switched controlled anyway. I personally prefer ground control over feed control because you are not dealing with voltage surge/spike on initial power up. Kinda like using jumper cables,always hook the power side first then ground to prevent arcing during contact
