So I got my PPs installed. When looking at the set up I noticed that the poles are wried directly to the battery. This would indicate to me that they are “hot” all the time. In my world thats not acceptable, i feel it is begging for trouble on many levels. I called power pole and asked if they offer a switch to install between poles and battery, they do not but reccomend mounting one. So my question is, what have other owners done? There are two 30amp fuses, one for each pole. So my mind says one 60amp SPST or one 30amp DPST (preferred choice). Any suggestions for solutions is appreciated.
